Mrs. Smith is a 1996 graduate of Kiski Area School District. She attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education in 2000. She also obtained a Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2006.
Mrs. Smith has been in the Leechburg Area School District for fifteen years having served as a Special Education Teacher, Elementary Math Specialist, and Elementary Language Arts Teacher.
